The Vine Tavern was known for being Norwich’s smallest watering since its opening in 1842, and it might now be the city’s smallest restaurant. Despite being the first city pub to go smoke-free, it closed down in 2006, only to be given a new lease of life as the Thai Vine Cuisine when it reopened in December last year. One enters the restaurant through the same front door of Dove Street, with the restaurant accessible from stairs at the back of the small, cosy and modern revamped bar.
